KP Team @ SF 1/2 Marathon!! WOW!!!

Hey KP Team,

Last weekend many of the KP Team went out and got in a nice tune-up race at the San Francisco Half Marathon on Super Bowl Sunday. The weather this year was the best it has ever been for this popular event. The run starts and finishes in Golden Gate Park and runs out and back along Ocean Beach.
The wind can be brutal out there, but this year was pretty mild. Warmer than usual temps also made for a pleasant race. They had a record number of runners, selling out at close to 7,000.

The KP Team was well represented at the event! Many were using the race as a good hard tempo run, while others were looking for a personal record (PR)! The weather was ideal for running a good race and we had some stellar performances! Check out the number of the KP Team coming in at under 1:30! WOW! Coach Kain was out to set the pace for this group, but many just ran away from him. Big congrats to Kim Mygatt (formerly
Hammett) who had a goal to break 1:30 and did, in 1:29:47 to place 5th in the 40-44 Womens AG. Big Congratulations to all our SF 1/2 Marathon Finishers!! Way to start the 2009 year off!!
