Big Kahuna 2007 Race Recap

We had a great group of folks out at the Big Kahuna Triathlon on Sunday! We had some great performances and we had some good fun out at the KP Aid Station at Mile 3 of the run. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped out at the aid station.

Special thanks to Aron Cooperman, Shane Holliday and Shelby Frye who worked the entire event! I'm sure they were yelling, "water, Heed, not Weed, gels, endurolytes, banana's, clif shots" in there sleep.

KP had some great performances, led by:

Dina Glendening, who placed 10th in her age group in a solid 5:10.

Jana Crane looked great out there and placed 5th in her age group in a very solid 5:32! Way to go Jana! Nelson Hom also had a huge PR looking strong and finishing in a solid 5:38!

Also looking good were Ingrid Wafelbakker, Joanne Wicker, Steven Aurouseau, Jim Ratcliff and Josh Mader! Nice job to all KP finishers!

***We hope for a speedy recovery for Ahmed Hassan who had a tough crash in the race and had to pull out. Get well soon Ahmed!! Coach Sharoo had a good swim and bike, then a tight hammy forced her to pull out when she reached the KP Aid Station! She then helped cheer on from there!
