In Memory: Bob Hebeler
It is with great sadness that we bring you the news of KP Team Member Bob Hebeler's passing. He was killed on August 11 while riding his bike in theSanta Cruz mountains. He was wearing a helmet, but was struck by a car while descending Empire Road above Felton. He was 49. Bob was a great athlete, father, husband and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him, but never, ever forgotten. Bob was an Ironman triathlete and was looking to go back to IM Canada in 2007. He had takenthe year of 2006 off to spend more time with his family. Bob worked at EBay in Campbell and lived in Santa Cruz. Bob is survived by his wife, Marie and two children, Matt and Sarah. |

The Kain Performance Team dedicated their race at the Folsom Triathlon on August 13th in Bob's honor. The entire KP Team raced with a "BH" on their body, or wore a black arm band. The race held a moment of silence in Bob's honor.
Bob's local memorial service will be on Sunday, September 10 from 4-7 pm at the Everett family farm in Soquel. It will be a casual gathering that will likely have a slideshow, some people speaking, food & drinks. Directions to follow.
