Kona Recap
Aloha from Hawaii!
I hope you all had a great weekend! We watched the Ironman in Kona on Saturday and witnessed some great performances. It was a different experience watching, than racing, but much more relaxing! The competition is the best in the world for sure, so it was great to see a few KP members out there hammering with the best! Chris Weiler had the race of his life, going 9:43! Tim Naylor had a great day, despite having two flat tires on the bike and having to wait for the tech support for 20 minutes to help him out. He still went 9:53! Erin Mcarty had her best day in the lava and posted a 10:27 and Bridget Potts pushed through on a bum hammy to a solid 10:49! Wow!
Chris Weiler - 9:43.08
Tim Naylor - 9:53:03
Erin Weiler - 10:27:48
Bridget Potts - 10:49:21
I hope everyone who raced/ran in the Nike Womens ½ Marathon had a great day! Congrats to all who competed in that one! Stay fit in the winter months, as January will be here soon enough.
We are heading over to Maui now for the Xterra race on Sunday. Shari will be racing, or as she says, participating. It’s great to be in the islands! We are already planning our return trip over here in June for the Honu Half 70.3 race. Sign up now and get psyched for what is sure to be one of the most exciting trips in 2007!
Registration is now open - RACE DATE: June 2, 2007
